AC/DC back in business, filming underway

AC/DC back in the spotlight and back in business, new photo surfaces

AC/DC are back in the spotlight and look to be back in business, with a new photo surfacing online sending fans into a frenzy.

The photo, reportedly taken Tuesday 25 February at a location in the Netherlands, shows an AC/DC backdrop and video recording equipment. It is the first indication of AC/DC being at work since photos of band members emerged in August 2018 of a recording session in Vancouver.

The band has yet to confirm anything official regarding a new album or tour, but it is widely believed the Vancouver recording sessions saw the band lay down their first new material since their Rock or Bust album in 2014.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the band’s Back In Black album. Former drummer Phil Rudd, who did not join AC/DC on the Rock or Bust World Tour, was photographed at the Vancouver recording studio triggering speculation of a return to the band.

A photo of bassist Cliff Williams, who announced his retirement at the end of the tour, surfaced a few months later pointing to his involvement in the Vancouver sessions.
