......who says BACK IN BLACK is their favourite AC/DC tune.are you sceptical about their ACDC knowledge ?
  1.
Powerage followed by LTBR followed by HTH is pretty much as good as it gets IMO. BIB is by far the best Brian era AC/DC. To me Shoot to Thrill is top 5 AC/DC songs. It's just that BIB is so damn famous!
  2.
    Thunderstruck is another one !

No, because I know other people have inferior tastes in music and don't appreciate them as much as I do. ;)

    Early '80s AC/DC

    Your argument is invalid

It's like when people 'assume' that some people aren't real fans of Pokémon because their favourite is Pikachu (even though we all know otherwise) :)

Now if the same person were to ask 'Who is *insert any current member of AC/DC or Bon here*?' then that would be a problem
  4.
But if you do like Pikachu you automatically have shit taste

Exactly, but at least he's not Magikarp
    Who's your favourite?

It always raises suspicion just because if people know anything about the boys it is BIB. Always begs a supplementary question :)

But it sure does make your life a lot better if you are one

Not at all. BIB is one of their very best tracks. The live version in the video above was what made me a fan of the band in 1982.

Anyone is entitled to be a less-hardcore fan is they like.

And, BIB is a favourite of many hardcore fans, such as myself, anyway.

Suggest you enjoy music without worrying too much about 'levels' of being a fan of whatever band. It's not a competition!

I'll have you know that my dad works for AC/DC and got me every single AC/DC item ever produced. He even got Bon's autograph on the Back in Black tour!

Oh yeah? Well I offered Brian a cigarette at the Hard As A Rock video shoot!

.....pity he didn't even look up and acknowledge me!

However I did ask Angus a question at the Thunderstruck shoot - "Angus, what do you think of Hendrix??"

    - "Good player......when he was still alive" - delivered in typical dry, laconic style!

I don't really give a shit, if they like that album and only that album, more power to em. I've only got like one Foo Fighters record, and my favorite song by them is Hey, Johnny Park! but if someone asked me if I liked them, thats what I would tell them, and if they told me I wasn't a real fan I'd tell them to fuck off.

We may be the best fans in the world, but we have a bit of an ego sometimes.
  14.
I don't give a damn how much any else likes the band, if they like any song I am fine with it, not going to make me flip my shit and try to tell them how they aren't the fan I am.

    That's silly.

If you wanna be the biggest fan and try to be the guy who rubs it in,I think you're missing the point.

    It's about the music.

My little 8 year old brother likes AC/DC (I put Flick,Fly,and Blow Up Your Video on his PSP).

Never thought he'd care about them, but I decided to add them in hopes he'd catch on.

Sure enough one day he heard me playing a song from Video and I had to pause it for what ever reason and he yelled for me to turn it on, cause he liked that song. (Nick Of Time!!)

Thrilled me to death really. He may only know those few songs, but just by the way he lit up when heard the song, well I can't say that he isn't any more of a fan than I am.

He has the same look I get when I listen to the boys, fucking proud as hell too.

That may be a rambling story but my point is, young or old, love one song or all of them, anybody who even remotely like a 'DC song for a split second has that same feeling we all get when their favorite song by AC/DC comes on.

Nice story about your bro. My 3 1/2 year old is just getting the bug. First I taught him to identify rock and roll. Now we are working on the finer details. "Dad, it's Angus look!".

Gotta say it made me proud, he could be into any kind of music and he liked AC/DC.

and I gave him a fair chance to go otherwise, plenty of country music and other newer music, yet he went with the bread and butter.

Such a great feeling to have him "enlightened" haha

My 3 yr old walks around singing ' girls got rhythm.......Back seat rhythm'....,and what's wrong with BIB being a favourite tune ......... I reckon it cranks ....along with everything else off BIB

Just watching that video I notice that Cliff and Mal aren't doing the 'I'm Back' backing vocals. Some tours they do it and some tours they don't. Seems a bit strange.

They did it (and very well too) on the Razor's Edge tour

I ask them to name 3 other songs (you know, the ones that aren't their favorites)... when they can't, I tell them to GTFO of my house.

Brilliant, I’m currently teaching my daughter the Angus lip curl from the HTH cover. Unfortunately she's caught the one Direction bug from school. Anybody know of any good boarding schools?

    Cheers

Just keep plugging away. If the rock an roll are sown then they will bear fruit. My 12 year had a brief flirtation with '1D' about a year ago. The thing she is most looking forward to this year? Black Stone Cherry and Airborne at Wembley in November and her new favourite band are these guys ...

    Keep the faith! :)

Never heard of Stonefield before, they're pretty good. The signs are good :)

Got Magic Mountain on heavy rotation at the moment so I am also looking forward to the BSC gigs.

What do you reckon to Magic Mountain? I like it a bit more than the last one. But it is still a far cry from Folklore and Superstition for me.
  22.
I think its really good. I think they've settled into their own sound now and their material has been pretty good and consistent for me. Good mix of heavy rockers and ballads.
I personally prefer the debut album to Folklore myself.

Anyone who cites Back In Black as their favourite AC/DC album should be shot obviously. I mean, a true fan would always go for something slightly less obvious, cause why would you like the most popular stuff?

Fuck me, be grateful the bastards know an AC/DC tune. 15 years ago most people who found out I liked the band made derisive comments, yet couldn't name one single thing they'd ever recorded.
