In the past AC/DC released several beverages inlcuding wine and beer and energy drinks. I got to tase the beer and was pretty much suprized in terms of the good taste. But i don´t know much about their wines. Has anybody drunk them so far?
What´s your general opinion regarding "Band-Drinks"?

I think it's cool if they have quality control but it seems that they all want to compensate lower album sales with other non music related stuff.
  2.
For anyone how wants to taste. I found this site where AC/DC-Beer is reduced up to 50%
    I ordered a tray myself.

We can buy AC/DC wine and beer to get drunk if we don`t get a new album.

This is truly a depressing situation.

The beer is not very good. Some stores sell these cans at half price because it tastes like shit and nobody buys it.
The Australian wine was quite good to me, but a Little bit pricey, still have some bottles of the Shiraz and Chardonnay at home.
  3.
Ok, you are the first one i meet that don´t like the beer. But i am glad you could gimme some words one the wine. =)

    I like the beer =)
  4.
I think it´s ok, just like all the other beers and wines with some famous bandname on it.
It´s easier to get drunk on this than on Newcastle Brown but not as good.

I have not tried the beer or wine...

    Don't like merch like that...
Once i got the Ac/dc Monopoly as a gift.
All that has nothing to do with a rock n' roll band imo.

    What's next ? Ac/dc tampons called "First blood" ? :-)

    Sometimes i forget Ac/Dc is a company...
But that's the way it goes when you are in one of the greatest bands of all time.

Beer has tons to do with a Rock'n'Roll band. It's one of the reasons the music is there in the 1st place :)
  5.
They should change the design on it though. Way to much Black Ice feel about it.

Yeah :-) Beer, the reason and the solution of all our problems ;-)
I think with merch like that, they only sell the Ac/dc logo for a fixed price and that's all.
Everything after that is not in the hands of the band i think... Maybe they don't even know about it, only the magnament does.. Who knows.

The ACDC beer is ok I reckon, generic average 5% lager, no better or worse than any other. Good if you're thirsty. Comes in a pint can and has a kick, it does it's job pretty quick. Asking for a 'pint of acdc' feels a bit weird though.

Iron Maiden's venture with Robinson's brewery, resulting in Trooper, has fast become one of my favourite beers. Prefer it out of the bottle, tried it on a pump a few times , weirdly in the bottle it is 4.7%, on pump it is 4.8.

Been looking out for Quo's 'Piledriver' ale but not seen it anywhere yet.

Whilst it is all bullshit marketing ploys, the booze (particularly beer) market is hand in glove with many fans tastes, so if they get it right I don't mind so much. Bands releasing wine seems to me way too far up their own arses, leave that to the likes of Bon Jovi...

Fuck beer, where's the Lemmy and Malcolm themed Jack Daniels bottles?

I liked the Black Ice beer and hope they do a reissue (or "rebrew", if that's what it's called).
Tasted like a regular good quality German lager.
Though I have to agree that The Trooper is a superior beer when it comes to band brews.
  11.
    Just another money-grab.
  12.
The Trooper beer was out of this world. Worth every headache it gave me.
  13.
Every 'band' beer/wine is just a cash in. It's great marketing tbf seeing as most rock fans are big drinkers.
The only one that is semi decent and has actually established itself as a genuine brand has been Trooper.
If cigarettes were still allowed to be advertised you can bet there would be Motorhead themed fags for sale.
  14.
The Black Ice beer wasn't actually good.

Karlsberg brewery in Saarland state near France.
    Not famous danish Carlsberg.
There is a Top-10 of most sold beer brands in Germany,
and I think, that Karlsberg is not listed therein.
One could advocate the little ones, but there are
    even smaller breweries.
    My state has two main breweries: Dithmarscher and Flensburger;
Hamburg has Holstein and Astra (lefty).

What other might call Lager, we call `Pilsener' or `Pilsner',
since that recipe origanted from Czech city of Pilžen.

Bought one out of interest, can remember the odd pint-size,
slightly larger than the standard 0,5 litres cans nowerdays.
Formerdays there were also 0,33l standard,
but that size is only found for bottles as of today.

Price had been 0,69€/can, higher mid- to lesser highprice level.
Taste was not such, to spend that much.
    Cheapo Pilsner 0,5l costs 0,29€.
Why spend money for one can, when you can have two ?

They can afford it to buy Turmbräu or Oettinger
cheapo brands and flood the market, and become
    iconic, legendary amoung young adults,
quaffing their sorrows, fear, incommunicato away with those there.

The cargo stayed quite some time in that particular discount supermarket.
Today there is DMAX/Discovery Channel beer as Alaska Black and a lager available as special 1-time offer,
    also @0,69€/can.
Also both lay around there for quite some time.

ROB beer was very shite. Has anyone tried the new Motorhead shiraz or Slayer cabernet sauvignon? They are really expensive and quite possibly piss poor. The Slayer one comes in a nice coffin box at least.

Funny you should ask, I served them at dinner just last Saturday.

Slayer = very good and was popular with my friends who are very knowledgable about wine.

Motörhead = tasted very cheap, not worth the money.

I think all these band beers and wines are made at the same factory. They just slap different band names on them. The only brand of hooch endorsed by a rocker that I actually enjoy is Cabo Wabo Tequila.

I didn't know that existed! It is sort of a weird double standard that AC/DC sell hard booze considering that Malcolm was an alcoholic (may have contributed to his Alzheimer) and also considering that Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning.

Last year, we were tasting these 4 band beers

We were 4 people - not heavy beer drinkers, which is kinda weird and unusual in our country :-) so I'm not sure if our results are relevant in some way for regular drinkers, but our undisputed winner was the Motörhead beer.

And this evening, while watching football match, I'm gonna taste this brand new AC/DC PWR/UP IPA beer. Hope it will be better than the ROB lager.

Hi Powergirl, depends where are you from. The PWR/UP IPA beer is already on sale. It is a product of German brewery - Karlsberg Brauerei GmbH (Karlsbräu), so maybe best to try some German online shops. I got mine via small local shop which is specialized in candy goods.
