Fantastic show. They rocked their socks off, not a medley or a Marguerita Time in sight. Only complaint was it was a bit short, 85 mins but if you like poundingly heavy boogie rock played at stupid loud volume....

I may have unjustly ignored these fellas, as they were in my teens praised by the same people who thought that Dire Straits were a great rock 'n' roll band. The couple of links I opened were definitely not bad.

I know technology has moved forwards but how about this....In my mate's car on the way home, we listened to an official cd of the gig we'd just been to, complete with printed cover and disc. As soon as the gig finished he went to buy a shirt after the gig and I went to the pub at the back of the Apollo. I was halfway through my 2nd pint (about 15 mins) when he turned up with the booty!

This Quo is not the Quo that were around in the 80's mate....that was a completely different (crap) animal!

    - OK, man. I'm gonna give these guys a fair trial. So far no beef with these dudes.

Love the way they use the Jackie Lynton 'Live' intro to announce the band. Nice touch. Alan sounds bloody good there, nice to see given his health issues.

I've ordered my CD online, as I can't be arsed waiting at/near the venue after the gig when it finishes early enough to hit the pub (gotta take advantage of the rare moments you get away without the kids). Is the sound good quality?

Start with 'Live' mate. Great intro to the band's early/best work.

The cd we listened to was very very good, really raw & lots of 'audience' in the mix too.

Make sure it's the 'Live' double album thus

not Live Alive Quo or Live at the NEC.

Great. CD's of each live show, now that's modern thinking for you.

I'll do my best, even though according to my philosphy you should be able to put on any song and if it doesn't get the juices flowing it's the artist's fault, not mine as a detective. :)

Naah, even 'DC has its worse moments as do other greats. I do appreciate your advice and I'll start off with the 'Live' double one.

Looks like there's another Frantic Four tour next year. If this doesn't clash with my holiday at Easter, I am all over this again. The gig in March this year at the Hammy was probably one of the best of my life.

After seeing the FF in March, I can't see me ever wanting to se new Quo ever again.
  2.
The whole Bula Quo thing looks absolutely cringeworthy

Looks like the Saturday at the Hammy again for me. I think the Wednesday ticket release is via the bands website (not sure whether Fanclub registration is required), otherwise it's Friday general release.
