    Ok, So I want to start a new thread were collectors can post picture to show of their collection,discuss releases ,or post new finds.
    I want to start by posting a picture of the South African rare release of "let there be rock", I got this in the post a few days ago. Bought it from a guy in Cape Town that I came in contact with. Yes was expensive..
    There is an embossed numbers on the back sleeve, mine says "28 7 81" wich is the date this album was pressed. This is the first pressing,it was also pressed in 1982 and 1984.So this is kind of rare, might think this is now the rarest of my vinyls.

    there was i guy i met, and he was telling me when he went over to europe in the late 80's he saw what you have there for $20 at some flea market. and he didn't buy it. he didn't know about it or that it was rare or anything. he is kicking him self now. lololol

    anyway here is somthing of mine

    it's what the printing plant would use to cut out the inlays for the cds. i am pretty sure that this is a test press. for the main fact that where the barcode is supposed to be, it has i guess would be an id number "D 120774". it's not the rarest item but i haven't seen any others.

    How'd you come along on those powersurge? If you don't mind my asking.I mean, it's not every day someone comes along on the big sheets they cut out for the CD inlays, lol.

    Mega rare Highway To Hell tour programme/poster bought by me on the day. For reasons I've never been able to find out, this was only on sale at about 10 of the UK venues on the HTH tour....luckily for me Manchester was one of them.

    And an If You Want Blood tour programme

    I got the poster I think you refer to in my Collectors cd of Live, along with an Angus dollar, as Ulster suggest.

    Speaking of Angus dollars, the story behind those $100 notes included in the Backtracks set is total bullshit. They did not rain down over the crowds in Australia during the TRE tour. The normal US dollar bills were dropped onto the crowd.

    In all my years of collecting I have never seen one of those for sale... and if they were supposedly dropped in Australia, I'm pretty sure there'd be stacks of them all over the place.

    I believe so. It's a 1990 Angus US dollar with the cannon and bells stuff printed on the reverse. The cd I have isn't a remaster if that makes a difference. My brother bought it for me on my birthday in '92. The jewel disc comes in a card outer sleeve that mimicks the album cover and reverse, and the inside 'booklet' folds out so one side is the poster of Rosie sprawled over the band on stage.

    no there were 6 sets so 5x6=30cards. 6 cards for each band member. but still very rare!!!!!!
