We've been saying that for months GZ - what the hell do you have to do to get a message through to the band to shake things up?
Time for a giant banner at the next gig:
Hey, Malcolm, How About You Change The Setlist? We're bored!
Done. I'll get some canvas over the weekend, some paint and we'll be in business
I'm hoping the wee man sees the banner loud and proud in the crowd! It could be the only way the message gets through...
I'd ask Mal to sign the banner if I met him after the show :)
LOL mike :D
The message is definitely reaching the band. There's people all over the place begging for a new setlist or different songs, telling them in person, handing letters to them, talking with the sounds guys. The question has got to be why in hell do they ignore it. Why play IYWB, Damnation, Gone shootin and what's next to the moon in 2003 and then forget about them on the world tour. It just doesn't make sense from a hardcore fans point of view. From a "want to sell and promote the records" point of view it does though. And who knows what the record company has to say after all.
Who knows. As LHM and others have said, looking at the setlist it's been pretty fixed for some time with the only variation really being in what songs they play from the album they're touring in support of. I think anyone who saw them in 2003 should consider themselves lucky, because as each show comes and goes, I'm losing more hope that they'll throw in a surprise.

I think i would be pretty damn happy with that...
... and they'd be pretty damn tired!
If you had to lose 3 songs to bring it closer to a 2 hour set?
well when they played belfast 1991 they played for over 2 hours and 3/4 encores!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plenty of vits and they would be fine
That was 18 years ago!! Angus was in his 20's in 1991... he's in his 50's now.
Ok, maybe my maths is out a little, but 18 years is a long time.
yeah it is
i just posted my dream setlist - really i dont care wat the band play but i agree they have to change the setlist more for the stadium gigs...defo
i dont think it would play very well at the concert MS and brian's voice would not do defo not on this track...
you are kidding i find it well boring actually and i dont think it does any service to Bon's vocals - lyric wise though yeah would agree
