Absolutely adore Tull, though I much prefer their folk and prog sides their hard rock side. Aqualung is a great record, though I find tracks like Cross Eyed Mary, and especially Locomotive Breath, to be rather… forgettable. Mother Goose and Up To Me annihilate them.

Peak Tull for me would be Heavy Horses. Stunningly gorgeous and intricate, especially the title track. The intro to Rover sums up the magical quality of the band brilliantly.

Jethro Tull playing a small festival literally a couple of miles away from me in deepest Kent, England (19th August). That close I may walk or cycle ......... now that would be first.. great band though !

That's a great track from a great album. It was the first tour that I saw them back in 1987.
Have you seen this documentary about the making of the Crest Of A Knave album....

When I first heard New Day Yesterday, I rapidly flicked thru all the mags, info, etc existing in those daZe to find out who the band was !! I've listened with great joy to Tull to date and I can safely say Ian and co. have never released a wimpy tune. Many say that Tull's latest album is just Anderson's solo album because he is the only original member of the historical band.....true, but I feeI Ian Anderson"s everlasting spirit in his lyrics, music, arrangements, harmony, melody which is still VERY Tull
