    Yeah and wasnt the story that Cliff could sing and they needed that - also there was some falling out with Mark and Mal/Ang that really sealed the deal. Mark later said that he could have done the vocal parts needed

    A Cliff Williams solo album with him on lead vocals would be great:)

    Ps Was There a pic of Mark visiting them on tour, BIB tour maybe? They were on terms but then the royalty law-suit cut him off

    I think the biggest problem for Mark was his consistency. Phil is such an engine that if the bassist wavers even a bit in his timing or picking, it's quite noticeable that he's come out of the pocket. This is quite obvious at times on early AC/DC live recordings.

    So yes, Mark could play. But Cliff could play with Phil.
