This one just popped up. Another Bon Scott-era show and in perfect FM stereo quality. This one wasn't even rumored to exist, so it's a total surprise : https://www.guitars1...

Really interesting recording, for me on par with Boston / Paradise Theatre 1978
Bon seems to be drunk and having trouble with die lyrics in die second part of die gig.
It's a miracle a recording like this sees the daylight some 43 years after the show...and such brillant quality. Amazing !

Bon couldn't get arsed with the lyrics in Rocker apparently. There's some Rock N Roll for ya.

Good quality on this, though you're going to have to reverse the channels if you want Malcolm and Angus on their proper sides.
Nice to hear Cliff up in the mix, but it sounds like they didn't record the kick drum. There's barely any there. :(

Just enjoy it you fucking geeks

It’s brilliant, but fuck me Bon is off his tits.
  4.
I wonder what he was doing during Rocker? Just standing there or maybe holding the mic to the audience?
  5.
    I love instrumental rocker.

Wish a recording from an earlier leg of the tour had surfaced/existed, with Riff Raff & DPB, grateful for what we have however.

That would be great. I have only DPB audio recording from that era on cd bootleg. And it sure is weird why they dropped riff raff from the set so early that it wasnt played in any of those quality brodcast shows that are bootlegged. Hopefully some good quality records of it will surface at some point.

But this bootleg was very special too. A great find!

There's another FM broadcast which has never seen the light of day. Electric Ballroom, Dallas, TX July 30, 1977. This was a free show broadcast by radio station K2EW:

Yes, most likely it was on air, but still we need just one individual, who recorded this one....

Also Boston '80, and also Warwick '78 http://www.ac-dc.net...
I hope these bootlegs will come to light someday!

I was interested in Boston '80 until someone pointed out that the bootleg is only half of the show, not the full show. Very lame.

I can't understand why they wouldn't put the full show on there. It seems much more likely that the full show was recorded than someone just stopping the recording for no reason.

Here is another FM broadcast from Bondi Livesaver, Sydney, Australia 7/2/77 that has not surfaced, I believe She's Got Balls on Bonfire is from this show.

This is a brilliant gig indeed! Interesting and a bit puzzling to hear a close to instrumental version of Rocker though. One onders why Bon didn't sing on it. It's certainly not because of problems with the microphone since Bon gives the occasional shout throughout the song ... Maybe he was just too exhausted to do the singing.

If it's in their archives then it may be available for research purposes. I believe that's how the 31st December 1974 show came into the public domain.

Personally, I'd rather that the whole show surface from the same soundboard source that She's Got Balls came from, and not the FM broadcast that would include all of the extra processing for FM radio.

One show that I hope audio or footage surfaces one day is the 19 September 1977 Kulttuuritalo Helsinki Finland show. The supposed setlist is great and the couple of shows before and after have great setlists but they apparently played LTBR, BBB, and DED at the Kulttuuritalo show. They didn’t play all three of these songs at the other Sweden shows, just one or two. I’d love to hear audio from this show one day. Here an article I found about it, with the supposed setlist that’s on basically every AC/DC website, it’s in Finnish though

Posted By: WholelottagiacoWell, yeah it's a supposed setlist. So are the setlists from Sweden '76 also which people believe are written by the lord. Would love to hear the Helsinki gig though!

Besides "Rocker' being almost an instrumental, listen to "Bad Boy Boogie". He's way off and making up lyrics. Listen to "Rock and Roll Damnation". He's making up lyrics. There's no doubt he's drunk as hell. That's said, this might be the greatest AC/DC live recording of all-time ;) That's rock n roll. Ha, ha!
