Several online articles out there of KISS dropping David Lee Roth from their tour because he's not cutting the mustard.
Interesting. Doesn't KISS lip sync their shows? Instead of hurting poor ole DLR's pride, couldn't they have just let him in on their stage tricks?
  1.
Isn’t that as hypocritical as it gets? Paul Stanley lip syncs.

This is one of many horrible performances until he started lip syncing

Gene Simmons calling someone washed up might be the funniest things I've heard. But also he's not wrong, DLR is a joke. I dig the early stuff with van Halen, but he just doesn't have it and that's okay.
  2.
If they didnt want him on the tour they could just release him without gossiping about it.

Honestly meanstreak, he probably asked for more money or something. And gene felt insulted so they fired him and publicly shamed him, that's all he really cares about anyways.
  3.
Roth sounded awful on the shows he did with Kiss in early 2020 - he then starting piping in vocals too.
  4.
If ever there was an advert for turning it in before you become a standing joke it’s that pair.

I read Gene’s comments, can’t really say that he’s wrong. Say what you will about Gene, he seems to still be a reasonably solid part of the band regarding his own performance.

    More irony.
Didn't Gene give the DLR fronted VH a big push in getting a label and then on tour with known groups in the beginning???.....and if so, now over 40 years later he's squashing what's left of the original VH by ditching Dave.

I love the DLR era VH. Yes, the current day Dave is sad to see. But KISS calling him out as washed up in this manner?? I'll stop.

    Plot twist.
Gene Simmons calls up Sammy Hagar and asks him to join them.
    2nd plot twist.
Sammy Hagar blows KISS off stage.

Could this be the chance we've been waiting for?

    DC open for Kiss?

If this is the cutting the mustard bar, Brian need not ever worry. He’s had some bad days, but JFC….
  7.
Maybe Gene should fire Paul aswell? He is just a shadow of himself even with lipsync. But Gene is not wrong about David. But come on! Everyone but KISS already knew that DLR couldn´t cut it anymore. It was pretty evident already on A Different Kind of Truth tour. DLR was never a really good singer(but s great entertainer), but nowadays he just mumble thru the lyrics, and stumble around on the stage in strange costumes. Yep he is a clown.

DLR can get many milfs even if he is going downhill.

Gene is singing and playing great. Paul well, lets just say that DLRs current form is majestic compared to Pauls - so: fake news

That’s why Gene fired him, he feared the competition.

if rumours are to be believed he prefers dilfs.

DLR was great in the 80s early 90s but really should have stopped years ago.

Get DLR and Bobby Davro to stand side by side, get them to do this,

and see if you can still tell who's who.

And yet it’s still somehow not as lame as DLR these last 20-30 years

I predict the painter will be headlining this tour by October

I love Gene, but he is a professional at talking too much. Commenting on DLR in such a way wasn't called for.

I dig Van Halen - but Roth has been a Vegas-y, goofy-dad, Hefner lookalike for some time, now. And sounds awful live.

Paul Stanley may be using backing vocal tracks for some songs (I've seen them live 3 times on this tour, and it's not every song) - but that doesn't make Gene wrong about David Lee Roth, either. But, glass houses.

Paul Stanley did comment after Gene though -

"Speaking of David Lee Roth… I remember seeing him in the ’70s with Van Halen at MSG and thinking to myself ‘There’s a new sheriff in town.’ Just amazing what he had evolved into in a few short years. On stage, he’s still Diamond Dave!”

You have seen them three times on this tour?! Thats just hilarious. You shouldn´t be near this forum ffs. If i would run this one you would be out just for that.
