    As much as I fucking adore this album and band, I'm not gonna buy "anniversary" merch. If others do, enjoy it.

    I'd much, much prefer a live performance released, even with just a tiny bit of mastering/studio work (as opposed to a full-out live album) than any kind of shirt, hat, or insulated drink cup they might sell.

    Not surprised at all by this kind of merch and same goes for the jigsaws. Unfortunately it's the same for most bands these days, from underground to mainstream, you gotta sell records somehow. Might cater mostly to collectors and maybe some new kids who just found out the band recently and are still enthusiastic about owning some a piece of future memorabilia. Nothing wrong with that but as many said already, I'd rather see the band releasing some rare live material from those years or such.

    I guarantee you that some people buy literally anything. I've seen fans of bands buying all kinds of crap. With such big bands pretty much everything they do becomes a collectible over the years, especially if it's part of a box or such.

    Yes, I wasn't referring to box sets and the various trinkets that go with that. Or promos or things. I just mean all of this junk being sold through the official store. It's all garbage. Nobody is going to care about a mass produced AC/DC mug in 30 years.

    Man, that's a lot of depressing merchandise for the greatest hard rock record of all time.

    Even Motörhead has a 2CD deluxe edition of Rock 'n' Roll (a pretty average album by their standards).

    Back in Black deserves a 4CD box set for its 40th anniversary (at least)!

    the first time I've seen that documentary it was at school in the middle of class and it was the best, the best 22 minutes I've ever spent in school.

    yes , but when you come accross a complete wanker in an AC/DC t shirt who says BIB is their favourite album.(and probably their only ACDC album)..this merchandise is perfect for them !
