IDK if this is old news, but I've never heard it before. Quality is excellent, and it's cool to hear Stevie back then with such clarity.

Great quality! Must be from soundboard because mix is so clear.
  2.
I initially posted it saying "soundboard" but then I realized the video says bootleg. However, the more I listen to it, it can't possibly be audience recorded.

Yes and thanks for posting this! One of the better quality 80's live recordings.

Bootleg doesn't mean audience recorded. A soundboard is still a bootleg.

I actually shared this gig originally a few years back, I also conned the name "The Rise Of Stevie Young" and made that artwork in that video. Cool to see it living on under that title.

Received this from a personal friend of Stevie in the form of a lossless.wav rip of his cassette.

Taken straight from the mixing desk, very thankful for Mark (Stevie's friend) to let me have a copy of the gig.

My one contribution to the bootleg world.

I don't like those fast tempos, for me it loses the feel and stomp, so I actually revised Shoot To Thrill and Who Made Who to more like the album versions. To me, sounds great, even though it makes the songs kind of fake (still, so was LARP) :-D

This is exactly what I came to say! Of all the shows from this tour, it HAD to be one where they didn't play Nick of Time?! It wasn't even a rare occurrence, they played it pretty regularly on that tour.

Right? How the fuck did he manage to pull it off though?! Angus is not human. At least, he wasn't in the '80s, with those fingers.

I wanted to slow the bootleg down myself when I was splitting the tracks.

(It was sent to me as 2 long .wav files, one for each side of the tape).I know tape speed fluctuations happen often on older bootlegs so I originally thought maybe it was a problem with the transfer, but usually the pitch is affected when that happens and Mark assured me he didn't do anything but transfer the tape, so it ruled out him adjusting the pitch back to the correct one leaving the faster speed and I didn't mess with it either so It must be accurate. There are quite a few bootlegs from the same tour that support the idea also,It seems they really were bashing it the fuck out at break neck speeds in '88.

Sounds better just a tad slower I agree for sure 900.

I found it there too. It downloads as a RAR file. I've converted to ZIP and extracted. Will try to share it as a file folder in just a bit.

    Check out the notes:

    The Rise Of Stevie Young

    .......................................

Original uploaded by 'nitroangus23' on www.acdc-bootlegs.com

    nitroangus23 notes:

Ok,so I've recently came into a new bootleg that I'm fairly certain hasn't leaked yet.

It's a soundboard Blow Up Your Video Era Tour with Stevie Young on Rhythm guitar.

It's a great sounding boot that I got from some guy online.

Supposedly the guy I got it from got it from Stevie himself.

For Those About To Rock is absent due to the tape running out.

He also said,he's only gave about 10 copies out so this one's a rarity.

    Ripped from a Cassette tape.

See if this works. You should be able to download the folder (click "download all" at upper right). It's not FLAC, but in this case, I don't think you'll hear a difference.

I believe they switched NOT for TU when they came to America, but this show contains neither. It would be great to have those fantastic BUYV songs in good live versions one day.

Two's Up?!?!? No way, that is literally their single most underrated song ever. Is there even an audience recorded version of that around?

Two's Up wasn't played, the fourth live song was Go Zone.

On the same thought. Is there a place to download some of the early 80’s soundboards like this. I’d love to get Dallas 85 but TBF any decent sound bootleg is a joy to behold

Did we know if Stevie used Mal’a number 1 guitar on this tour?

No. He used one of (if not both) Malcolm’s Jaydee jets with one pickup, and his personal black jet we saw on the ROB tour.

You could download the youtube videos, but you'd have to split them into tracks.
