Posted By: 42_39_56Posted By: rideon77To Me Angus wants to tour, he isn't absolutely ready to quit. And if he record the album with the BIB line up minus Mal and then tour with other guys it can be a risk , for the promoters too. So the question is...If the problems cannot be solved...Will Angus re record it with another singer/drummer ,will he record a totally different album with these guys and then tour and we will get in the future the Vancouver Session as bonus? Of course just puttin out the album with Brian and Cliff and then starting a new project is no business at all
If you thought the backlash from 2016 was a shit show (well, we know you didn’t!) - it will be nothing compared to Angus re-recording with a new vocalist and drummer after the whole world knows Brian and Phil were here. I do not see new sessions happening with new people so it’s no wonder they’re working double time on the seduction line trying to sort this.

Posted By: Angus12345Maybe it's the other way around ----- Maybe the boys don't want to tour but the label will not release an album without a supporting tour???I doubt it. Angus is born to tour
Posted By: BrianyAll the insiders info has shown that an album and tour is/was to be. So i doubt that Vancouver was just a try out. The reason they weren't pleased with the paparazzi pictures was more about the fuzz they didn't want, imo.Posted By: 42_39_56Posted By: rideon77To Me Angus wants to tour, he isn't absolutely ready to quit. To be fair, the whole world wasn't meant to know. The whole world kind of barged into the garden, peered in the window, and then started asking to be let in to better know what was going on.

Posted By: BillyBollocksIf the 'album' and tour don't happen Angus will call it a day. And rightly so. Fingers crossed.
But let's hope the album comes out and the farewell tour follows sharpish.

It's not that Vancouver was a try-out, but potential issues may have been known about even then, with the hope they could be worked through. Therefore, the band would have hedged their bets by keeping the whole process as secret as they could, but the lid was blown off.

What I seriously don't understand is how there are people here who would rather see Angus quit entirely than to do what he loves even if it doesn't mean with the "ideal" lineup? That's messed up. Seriously. Let the man make his music and be happy for him and who knows maybe you'll even enjoy the outcome...

Absolutely. People are perfectly entitled not to like it, but it would have zero negative impact on any fan's life if Angus decided to soldier on without this member or that member. At worst, they just would not go to the gigs or buy the albums, but that's the same net effect as the band retiring.

That would def be a disqualified.

I should hope so, or else the story of AC/DC has taken an unexpectedly supernatural turn.

JFC lol
Posted By: 900I still think they might sort this out. Angus won't want to just give up on the idea due to some bureaucratic bullshit reason, and the word is Brian's OK....so whatever the issues with insurance or whatever else, they should be resolvable.

If Sony don't like it, it will be the best album since FOTS

Posted By: ThankassWhat do Sony staff know about Rock&Roll? Fuck that
Besides; ac/dc isn't a band that is in its early stages of their career and a risk for a record company to put money in.
They are a money machine. So i don't take this for reall info

Maybe Ang wants it released asap, and Sony wants to time it more strategically? Who knows....
