AC/DC Rock or Bust – new album and 2015 world tour announced

AC/DC has announced the release of ‘Rock or Bust,’ the band's new studio album after a six year recording break. The new album features 11 tracks and is scheduled for release in Australia on 28 November 2014.

AC/DC has announced the release of ‘Rock or Bust,’ the band”s new studio album which comes following a six year recording break. The new album features 11 tracks and is scheduled for release in Australia on 28 November 2014.

‘Rock or Bust’ is the follow up album to the highly successful ‘Black Ice’, which has sold nearly 8 million copies worldwide. Recorded at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada, the album has been produced by Brendan O”Brien and mixed by Mike Fraser.

The new AC/DC album will be the first without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings. The rhythm guitarist announced his break from the band earlier this year due to illness. A statement from Alberts, the band”s Australian label, has now confirmed that Malcolm will not be online slots rejoining the band due to the nature of his illness. Stevie Young, the nephew of AC/DC”s founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, has taken over guitar duties on “Rock or Bust” in Malcolm”s place.

AC/DC will undertake a world tour in 2015 in support of the new album, with Stevie accompanying the band on tour.
