    Alright troops, do your worst.

I want the Open Letter To AC/DC plastered across the Internet.

Every single AC/DC forum (official and unofficial), rock forum, radio station website, in the email inbox of every single contact within the record label, in the inbox of every single respecting AC/DC fan you can think of, on every single social bookmarking site on the planet, Tweet it, Digg it, Facebook it.... just go fucking nuts and let's get this setlist changed.

  1.

Bon, just logged on, saw what you did, its amazing man, you truly are determined and i think you will get to the band soon! congrats man, this truly is the best AC/DC Fan site!!

Thanks man - was a great idea to put together a letter, so you have to take some of the credit too.

    Start plastering this thing everywhere!

  2.

I put it on Bootlegs.com, im gonna find more places tomorrow. i think we might get the word out! but then again, they might already know, Brian said he reads fan sites, so maybe this will be easier than expected!

  3.
Excellent work bon, hopefully this will get to the band, I will try to find places elsewhere to place it starting tomorrow.

Nice one. Just logged this post on AC/DC Fan Community Site on Ning with a request for help. Gonna e-mail this to Planet Rock, not sure they will take notice, but why not. Hope it does some good. Are we e-mailing the record company? Might not do any good but worth a shot. Will get my wife to Facebook it as she uses that. Anything else I can do, let me know. Being outta work has some advantages, time on my hands being the main one.

Planet Rock, blabbermouth, kerrang, metal hammer, Sony, Alberts.. they're all getting this. And if you guys post it too, they'll get it several times. And they'll keep getting it until someone gets onto the band and we get the setlist change that should have happened months ago.

E-mailed Rob Birnie, on air at Planet Rock at moment, be interesting to see if I get a reply. Even if its "sorry cant help". Will try other presenters later, want to catch them while they are on air to see if they mention the e-mail live (doubt they will).

As for AC/DC fan community site, no responses, but someone did start a nice thread about "During which period did Angus look best?" one for the ladies obviously, and one asking "Which Family Jewels dvd is the best-the one with Bon or the one with Brian (cause that needed explaining!)?". Both have had several replies in the meantime, which is nice.

www.ffs.com I just tried it. Lmfao, its a real website, sadly not about half-arsed, moronic, non-fan wannabees. Its just about flowers. Calmed me down a bit mind.

Try www.planetrock.com if youlike, it gives you links to e-mail all the presenters

Im gonna get some washing on, cause Im good like that (and my missus will kick my arse if I dont) then Im gonna e-mail the music mags.

Bonlives. I think we should all share web/e-mail addresses on here or perhaps under a new thread so we can all hammer everyone. Even if it dont work, it might piss some people off. Which would give me some satisfaction at least.

Maybe I'm confused by the whole Fremantle/Bon Scott cemetary thing, but if the owner is really in Fremantle get in touch coz we're hitting the turps when I'm back in Perth next year!

So the operators of acdcfans. net see themselves in any case.  A self-confidence, with that one its hero already once a serious concern in form of an open letter lecture can: the change of the Setlist.  "Some of us have 'looked in the frame the running Ice' -tour two continents bereist and each night your crazy song lives through.  Do we appreciate really every single, ask ourselves however really whether it not bores the volumes to play every evening the same numbers"?

    Investment out of passion

The authors of the Statements feel loyal the motto of its forum as loyalest fans generally.  That on or others had visited in the course of the decades over 150 AC/DC-concerts, jointly would have invests one already over 84,000 U.S. dollars into the volumes - and an end would not be foreseeable.

Whether the volumes actually would know, that thousands fans passed months therewith, the Setlist of that Ice" "looked to discuss further is asked -world tour in the hope to hear not only songs, that direct itself to average fans, who rinse money into the cash register.

"We eat, sleep and shit AC/DC"

One arranges that the true passion for AC/DC by the way:  "You like to rejoice and go happily of the concert home - came however only in order to hear" 'Thunderstruck'.  And generally:  "They served' t eat, sleep and shit AC/DC like we do".  Now one - would demand - would not hope surprised of the volume to become:  "Please gives old, faithful fan a couple hard and heavy skirt would end played us trickily".

The motivation of the Australian fan forum:  AC/DC return in the coming February after Down Under.  Moreover front man Brian Johnson of always once again rumors, that fueled "looked could be Ice" -tour the last of the Hardrock legends

Is a crappy internet translation, but you get the idea.

I love the fact "We eat, sleep and shit AC/DC" is about the only part that gets a perfect translation.

Other BT- I've seen you whine a few times too . Theres nothing wrong with that either. Its a forum and thats what we all do (among other things), right?

You wouldn't be happy to hear other songs getting the respect they deserve and get played live every now and then? If you say no, you're full of shit. We all want to hear other songs get their due. Not even ALL THE TIME. Just every now and then it would be nice to break the formula.

... and theres no need for all this attitude. Other people can have the same initials as you (is this grade school?) I read your post on RP and ya just need to calm down. You seem cool enough!

  23.
Hey, I got banned off Rising Power, that´s why I had to chose another screen name. Anybody can be called "bt" as far as I care, lol

Of course I´d like another songs to be played, and I´ve talked about it before, I can´t stand The jack anymore, etc, etc, etc...but this far in the game? Who cares, really. Two years ago a new album was science fiction, remember? Just take it for what it is, AC/DC touring. They´ve never been good at setlists anyway.

The guys from AC/DC Italy gave them a similar letter, straight to their hands, it didn´t work. That was the right thing to do if you ask me. No need to go public with this whining shit.

Well Im glad we got this BT/BT shit straightened out haha! Ill take the blame for assuming. I dont really think it was whining at all, though. I think the way the site went about it was extremely well done and got the point across. It was honest, but showed that the fans are still extremely thankful.

Brian had an extremely humerous opinion on Chuck Berry. If anyone would understand that fans can have opinions on an artist... its good ol Brian. Hes a good man.

(Besides... my idea was to throw a shitload of letters on the stage and hope it got to them lolol)

BallToucher - I hope you can agree that the letter isn't disrespectful in any way, shape or form. It thanks the band, extends appreciation for AC/DC's music and asks them to consider changing the setlist for the thousands and thousands of fans that just want to hear the songs that critics slammed but which deserve to be played. Yes it's late, but better late than never. There's no demand made in the letter - no play this, no play that - just a sincere request for some variety for us and for them. If it gets nowhere, so be it. But I for one haven't spent the last 25 years of my life following this band to be left feeling like I can't talk to them.
  24.

"But I for one haven't spent the last 25 years of my life following this band to be left feeling like I can't talk to them."

"But I for one haven't spent the last 25 years of my life following this band to be left feeling like I can't talk to them."

I've spend 29 years following the band on tour and 34 or so years following their career and I feel the same way. bon summed it all up. We are very devoted fans when it comes to AC/DC.

the letter definitely isn't disrespectful - if it was, it wouldn't have been sent. We love the band, if there's a problem, we'll shout it out...
  27.
It says we're telling them to change the set. We're actually asking them to, I don't think we'd demand a whole lot from this band.

I would have thought that we were very respectfully asking our favourite band and more than that the soundtrack to our lives to not do themselves a disservice by playing the same tracks over and over and making their fans wonder if they are just in it for the money.  I myself cannot bring myself to believe this.  I respectfully ask that the last great rock and roll band on the planet reveal the depth and breadth of their talent and blow every man woman and child away.  To misquote a couple of wise men   " It's not a matter of rock and roll, it's more important than that"

Its a sad day if 5 blue collar blokes take a polite request in the wrong way. We are after all the people who have made them rich beyond their wildest dreams and on that basis alone should be able to offer up an opinion...as long as its done in a respectful way...which the letter certainly was. I'm sure if they ever get to see the letter then they won't take offence at it...its just a request, thats all. I don't think they will change things on this tour....but you just never know

We have not to complain a lot about, regarding to AC/DC fans. Just compare.

    ABB Tour 2006 :

    Shows 72

    Songs played 64

Songs debited 7 (OK, 6 of those were one-time appearance)

    AC/DC 2009 (Till Nov 2) :

    Shows 90

Songs played 21 (with 1 as one night appearance)

Songs debuted 1 (not even sure that Dog Eat Dog wasn't played on a previous tour)

  29.
21st song? I'm pretty sure that was Fling Thing.

I agree bon but for some reason, some people mistake it for one.
  31.
    Not a full song anyway.
  32.

Fling thing and Bonny are different though. Fling thing is the whole band, Bonny is just Angus soloing, they havent done Fling Thing since the 70s.

"So, what happens when the band just quits touring? Are these yay-hoos gonna' be complaining about the setlist then?"

This guy is going to be mobbed

"this isnt about fans that go town to town on the same tour. this is about ac/dc's setlist year after year. i think a hell of alot of the audience are big fans and know all their material. the reality is most casual fans that may never have seen ac/dc dont know hell aint a bad place/ whole lotta rosie/ let there be rock/ the jack, (or anything off of black ice except, r & r train anyway) yet...they play these every tour as well. and why is a band trying to appeal to a casual fan that mabey owns one cd by them anyway ??? isnt it about the loyal fans that have been with them for all these years ? especially at the tail end of their " touring " career .... i mean what would happen if the drunk college girl standing next to you, at the show, taking pictures of her and her girlfreinds, drunk , with her cell phone all night do if she didnt know the songs except YSMANL , get the word out that the tour is a joke and nobody should go !!!"

This one actually speaks some sense

"Fly on the Wall. Party like it's 1985!"

    hahaha
