    Some major changes coming to the site over the coming days...

    Will be revamping the forum with a new look and feel. Same clean and simple forum, free of clutter, but with new features like private messaging. For the non-techies it'll still be simple to use. For those accustomed to social networking, all going to plan, it'll tie in with Facebook, Twitter etc.

    We'll be firing up member galleries, allowing members to post pictures of their AC/DC collections and anything else they'd like to share or show off.

    We'll also be launching a new area for AC/DC collectors and a section of the forum especially for collectors.

    And finally, an area for members to buy and sell AC/DC items.

    And maybe, just maybe, an off-topic category...

    Actually, I apologise if I've offended any real Mal and Angus fans, here. That's just my opinion of them, of course, and I'm probably too biased against them because of the way Clinton Walker describes them in his "Highway to Hell" book, about Bon!!

    Anyway, please feel free to tell me to "shut up", or words to that effect!!

    Another reason I probably won't be reading that book.^^^^

    Not that I'm against hearing about the "bad" stuff.I just don't want to read about someone going on and on about how bad Angus and Malcolm were to Bon.

    Should I get I read it or not?

    Well, nitro, Clinton Walker does give both Angus and Mal a severe caning right throughout the book, and portrays them as absolute idiots and dickheads, mainly in reference to their money-hungry meaness, and Mal's dictatorship over the band, but on the other hand it's a brilliant book on Bon's whole life in detail, from birth to death, and no other book I've seen, goes into so much detail about Bon, and it is a very well-written book.

    So, if you're a Bon fan like me, then I would say yes, definitely buy the book, because it is well written, but just be ready for some rather major attacks on Mal and Angus!!

    All in all, I would say, yes, do buy the book!!!! And the latest edition so far, is the 2007 edition. Hope this helps.

Bonlives, to coincide with the new design that you've got planned, I think we should make an official facebook page for the website. I can create it if you like.     New AC/DC Gallery is now live at http://www.acdcfans.net/gallery - for the time being access is by request only. Until I can find some time to work out how to link up forum accounts, access is by a separate login and password.

    If you'd like an album in the AC/DC gallery, let me know and I'll activate one for you - I'll use your existing forum email address. You'll receive an email with your password...

    Thanks to the guys who helped out with some testing. If you find any bugs, let me know.

    Question, if you do make an OT forum will it be on a separate page to the AC/DC forum? I think it would be much better that way, because if you just make an off-topic "category" then all the OT threads are going to get mixed in with the AC/DC threads and it will be a major pain in the ass.

    Yep, if it does happen it'll be seperate. It'll be a category, but the category will only be viewable by itself. There won't be a mixed bag of threads. This is what I'm currently I'm grappling with...

    ^What could go wrong in the off-topic section that couldn't go wrong in the main forum? If somethings gonna go wrong, it's just gonna go wrong no matter what the title of the forum is. I don't see the fuss.

    Well, I think that an "OFF TOPIC" forum is a great idea, because we can discuss other things of interest, share some jokes, ideas, etc, and get to know each other a bit better!!!!

    Plus it should be a lot of fun!!!!

    ^ Exactly. People like a good off-topic forum with some interesting discussions, it gives them a bit more incentive to become regular members. And Carlos, an OT section wouldn't make the site any less of a serious AC/DC fan site, because it will be separate from the AC/DC section and it will be moderated of course to ensure it doesn't get out of hand.
