Yeah, but i think the venue has to be looking good. Not a concrete bunker or something with 200+ capacity. If i could add one venue it would be olympiastadion@munich
1. The football pitch right outside my house. 2. Estadio Azteca, Mexico City cap. 105.000 would probably be around that or 5-10.000 more 3. River Plate 4. Donnington 5. Melbourne Cricket Ground
Has the title of the thread changed or is it now being suggested that I bat for either team. If so then I would resent that inference, if I could be arsed and I wasn't so hung over.
Shitty bloody mobiles. Whoever thought going online on a phone was a genius idea can come round here and see how frigging genius it is doing it on a mobile shoved uo their arse.
Pod - that was indeed the rather infantile and immature inference. And I was sorry about it until you started banging on about shoving phones up people's rectums.....
Great venue. Really cosy 2000 seater arena. Best acoustics south of Cleethorpes. The Stones, The Who, Cream, Free all started their careers somewhere else. Great venue.
I think the bullring in Madrid was a very special venue, out of the normal and pretty awesome. Soccer or olimpic stadiums are pretty common nowadays, nothing special about them. The bullring was built some 200 hundred years ago and if only for that, was pretty cool.
Academy is my overall favourite venue for seeing bands. Sloping floor, dark, crush barriers and sometimes when you look up it's like being outside (or is that just me?)
Sloping floors with non slip surface - brilliant. Impossible not to get a great view in that place. And yes, it's definitely like being outside when you look up - I get the same sensation. The easy access to the bars without missing a thing is the icing on the cake.
Just a fucking awesome live music venue. The best I've ever been to.
