i dont know how the "politics" works with this type of gig/tour !

with their now ,what i call, "DC COMIC" phase of their career..(monopoly boards, wine bottles, film soundtrack music etc etc)

but if AC/DC were still all together (typical line up..including a well and fit Mal,)...would they be now the type of band to set up a 6 month stint in the MGM Grand for example in Vegas..

or would they still shun such gliteratae !!!!

    ????

No because they are not cunts.
  1.
The only way this would be worth while/cool is if they dug deep and played a variety of songs from all eras.

If they used the same stale setlist again, it would more or less be pointless for them.

That being said,if they did with tons of killer deep cuts...count me in.

    Not likely though.
  2.
Absolutely not.Just as Axl Rose would never front AC/DC.

If touring is so difficult at this age they most definitely should do a Vegas stint. The fans will come and they won’t have all the wear and tear. I’d love it! Plus it’s Vegas so it’s a win-win-win and some losses!!!
  3.
They will have Brittany Spears and Jennifer Lopez opening up for them.

I wouldn't mind them doing a series of shows in one place to avoid touring problems
And yes it would be amazing if they do the deep-cuts etc.

But LV is just not the right fit. There's other places that would make more sense.

    So US or Europe?

I don't see the issue with it. You would think people would be thrilled for them to do any performance together again at all, let a lone multiple.

Who gives a shit where it's at.

Of course, I just think there would be more appropriate options than Vegas :)

I don't know, but it would make sense to choose a place with a certain history with the band.(And I don't see Vegas as one of them at all)

The residency route would make sense for the band at their time of life. That said, I have to imagine that the touring aspect is a big part of their identity. On the other hand, I think they have done club residencies in their earlier days, and could maybe talk themselves into making out that it's a similar thing.
  5.
Haven’t been on the forum for awhile but I like the idea of a Vegas residency.
Imagine the stage show that they could set up if it didn’t have to be packed up every few days on shipped around different parts of the world.
I agree they would have to dig deep into their vaults and keep it fresh with the set list.
But I think they could really make it work, and have a great time.

    In Vegas? Fuck that.
  6.
People travel the world to go to Vegas. Why not for AC/DC?
I’m imagining most of the naysayers are from Europe and are used to being able to see them easily in multiple countries.

Vegas would rock and I’d be there multiple times
  7.
They could play in a mini mall parking lot for all I care. Live gig is a live gig.

There's talk of the best AC/DC tribute getting a residency at Hard Rock Casino in Vegas, the singer auditioned to replace Brian Johnson, they're good.

Their original music is kind of an homage to ACDC and is pretty damn catchy.

Watching that first video it really makes you realize what Angus Young brings to the table each and every show.
