Posted By: CliffFINmark2Dance Macabre sounds like a KISS song from late 80ties. Horrible.

Favorite song on the album. Currently #2 on the US Mainstream Rock Chart.

I expected more from a man who appreciates the perm.

Look. When you are using "midnight" in a song you are already pushing it, only in the right context it can be used. It is just so used that you gotta be careful, it might be automatically lame and make your song ridiculous... But then they have also used "moonlight" now that is a word that just cannot be used ever again in rock n roll pre-armageddon anyways, it makes you, your song and career automatically a total joke; you just do not use "moonlight"...what the fuck "i just wanna be, wanna be with you in the moonlight". No no no man, never. Puke effect to the extreme right there and it builds up into self-combustion mode when you hear that they also say; "your eyes", "kiss" and "chills" in the same m-uffin song.

It is just totally unbelievable and pure torment. The band, the fans and every instance who plays/enjoys it should be ashamed and put to prison.

Bewitch you in the moonlight. But I'm sure MLP will forgive your grammatical error.

Oh whatever theres still the moonlight, eh?

I'll pass. Not my cup of tea. My Kiss loving mate loves them

I heard Dance Macabre and I loved it, I'm not much into Metal and have a guilty pleasure for anything catchy so it was right up my street. The whole album kicks ass though, Miasma is one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard

As much as I like Greta, these guys deserve the Grammy's this year!

    Nothing wrong with moonlight

Look moonlight has been oknfor use pre1980 and midnight pre1990. Then we have heard absolutely everything on these topics. No more, although Inleave a trapdoor open for midnight in the right context.

    Drivin' in my car
    Headed for the local bar
    Pickin' up my girl tonight
    Everything is gonna be alright
    Shootin' pool with my friends
    Smokin' cigarettes
    Tellin' jokes out loud
    We're laughing way too proud
    And we rock it
    And we roll it
    And we're laughing
    And we're joking
    And we roll it
Baby we roll it, roll it,
We won't get the blues because we
    Rock the blues away
    Up all night and day
    Drink the night away
    Until the light of day
And when I'm on the way back home
    I listen to the radio
I hear some great rock sounds
That make you wanna sing out loud
    And we rock it
    And we roll it
    And we're laughing
    And we're joking
    And we roll it
    Baby we're rockin' and rollin',

    p.s. I love this song!

I'm just having fun with this thread, but man, that would be laughable if someone on an AC/DC forum seriously has a problem with another group using banal lyrics.

Ghost's Square Hammer have always sounded familiar to me. Last night I found out why, the main riff sounds a lot like "Concentration Camp" from Baron Rojo, at 25:50:

Baron Rojo (red baron) is a spanish metal band that enjoyed some fame in the mid 80s, very popular in Spain and a little bit in some parts of Europe opening for Maiden in some of their tours. They were set to open for AC/DC at one point but the record company screwed them over, apparently.

Banal-anal lyrics are a one thing and using moonlight in a serious fashion is l-a-m-e

I think Baron Rojo is opening for Terrorizer.

I almost posted that one myself, but I didn't like that it's not synced up at all. It's from another song.

Yeah, that's why I didn't post it initially. There's no accordion in Dancing in the Moonlight! Nice to see the band members back in the day though.
